Name of Project: Optimal Mental Health - Managing the Mix
Project Description:
Raise awareness among GPs, their staff and the community of MH/AOD comorbidity. Improve knowledge of the conditions, to lead to better referrals. Increase early detection and intervention through general practice. Enhance access to primary health care for all people. Improve lines of collaboration between general practice and other players in the MH/AOD/community sectors. Provide ongoing education and information to GPs, psychologists, RNs, allied health professionals and practice staff to enhance early identification and intervention in addition to ongoing treatment. Provide psychological support services and other qualified counselling staff to give clinic-based and outreach support to patients.
