Name of Project: We Can Do Better
Project Description:
Provide increased opportunities for GPs and allied health workers to undertake clinical attachments with the North Coast Area Health Service MH and AOD services. Enhance knowledge, skills and capacity of GPs and other targeted health workers in the provision of best practice early intervention and ongoing care for patients with MH and AOD co morbidities. Facilitate integrated systems of care for patients with MH, AOD co morbidities by promoting the cross leveling of knowledge and greater understanding between GPs, allied health workers, MH and AOD services. Strengthen relationships and linkages between the division, GPs, allied health workers, MH services and NGOs dedicated to the care of patients with complex MH and AOD co morbidities to improve service synergies.
