Name of Project: Linking General Practice with Eastern Mental Health/Drug and Alcohol Services: Supervised Clinical Attachments for GPs
Project Description:
To adapt the supervised clinical attachment model previously used for GPs in emergency departments to suit GP skills development in the public MH system and AOD services. To increase GP's knowledge of current treatment and admin protocols in operation in the public MH system, through face-to-face interaction with clients and clinicians. To generate interest in MH shared care among GPs in the eastern region. To increase the GP knowledge of MH/AOD services and referral to appropriate services in the eastern region.
