Name of Project: Mental Health/substance Abuse Comorbidity Project
Project Description:
Expand the division's capacity to play a lead role in networking with new and existing services. Identify areas of common concern in alcohol and drug comorbidity. Establish interdisciplinary meetings with MH services, AOD services, general practice, pharmacists and key community organisations to enhance skills and awareness. Set up referral pathways and protocols with key stakeholders. Construct an education package in the area of opioid use and MH comorbidity that can be delivered through a range of identified strategies. To leverage this project to incorporate other organisations and funding sources with a view to sustainability.
