Project Description:
To give GPs and other workers a new opportunity to broaden their knowledge into AOD areas, by facilitating their access to AOD specialist agencies for clinical placements. To relieve frustration with paperwork related to clinical attachments experienced by GPs and others. To facilitate case discussion groups between GPs, practice nurses and AOD agencies to further develop treatment in the area of comorbidity.

Project Description:
To expand the two mental health networks in the region to include the AOD sector, which will require changes in terms of reference and other issues, and sign off? To tidy up the various agreements, MOUs and charters with various bodies to facilitate better referral interactions and recording of work done with MH/AOD patients: after a trial of this, it will be offered to agencies in the region as a model. Improve capacity and confidence in managing co morbid clients by agencies through inter-agency training events.
