Name of Project: Co-morbidity prevention, early intervention and education

Project Description:

Provide access to training for GPs and others from all metro and rural areas in collaboration with GPSA and other SA Divisions: this will give clinicians enhanced skills to manage clients/patients with MH and substance use issues. Network stakeholders who deliver services to young people, their families and Carers: the training will provide them with knowledge and skills to respond better to people with MH/AOD comorbidity. Run SQUARE training to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to patient care for those with MH/AOD and at risk of suicide. Training to be developed for practice staff, pharmacists and their assistants, and allied health professionals and their staff on how to manage clients with MH and AOD issues: this will improve quality of referrals.
